Matt Smith New Doctor
The BBC announced that Matt Smith will be the 11th Doctor, replacing David Tennant in 2010. At 26 he will be the youngest actor to ever play the Doctor.
Smith is basically an unknown with mostly just stage experience under his belt. He was selected by Doctor Who executive producers Steven Moffat and Piers Wenger. The choice of such a young and inexperienced actor has taken some fans by surprise. He certainly does have big shoes to fill; David Tennant did a fantastic job as the Doctor. Regardless, with Steven Moffat replacing Russell T. Davies as the show runner I’m confident we still have some great stories ahead. As for everything else, time will tell.

Thanks for this. I’m passing this on…he looks like he could do well. Ok, I’ll give him a chance.
